Vape Juice Guide

What is Vape Juice

Vape juice is the liquid that is converted into vapor by electronic cigarettes. It is also known by the following names:

  • E-liquid
  • E-juice (or ejuice)
  • Vaping liquid
  • E-cig juice

To produce vapor, all vaping devices, regardless of size or appearance, require the presence of e-liquid. Vape juice is available in a variety of flavors, viscosities, and nicotine strengths.

The Ingredients of Vape Juice

E-liquid is made up of both required and optional ingredients. These ingredients are divided into three categories: base liquids (PG/VG), flavorings and sweeteners, and nicotine.

PG and VG

The base of vape juice is composed of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, abbreviated as PG and VG. Some juices are 100% VG, but this is uncommon, just as 100% PG is uncommon. VG and PG also make up the typical e-liquid ratios, such as 70/30 or 50/50, with VG typically coming first.

Flavorings

Flavor concentrates are water-soluble and are typically manufactured by companies that produce food flavorings and/or fragrances. They include tobacco, fruits, chocolate-glazed donuts, and everything in between. Many commercial e-juices will also include sweeteners, the most common of which is sucralose.

Nicotine

Nicotine is entirely optional and always at the discretion of the user. It is present in e-liquid in varying concentrations ranging from less than 1% to 5%. Non-nicotine e-liquid is available in most e-juice lines if the user does not want to use nicotine.

E-liquid comes in a variety of nicotine strengths. Here are the most common ones:

  • 3 mg/mL or 0.3% = super low
  • 6 mg/mL or 0.6% = low
  • 12 mg/mL or 1.2% = low to medium
  • 18-24 mg/mL or 1.8% – 2.4% = medium to high
  • 36 mg/mL or 3.6% and above = super high

With so many nicotine levels to choose from, it’s simple to find the e-liquid that’ll help you satisfy your cravings. You may also discover that you require different strengths for different setups or even different times of the day. What works for one person may not work for another, and vice versa. And that’s the beauty of it: you can personalize your vaping experience!

How Many Puffs of A Vape Is Equal to A Cigarette?

While the duration of each puff and other factors can change the number of puffs produced, it is widely accepted that each drop of e-liquid can produce up to 7 puffs. The only true way to answer this question is to account for those differences, which also include the nicotine strength used, which is a significant factor in the calculation. We don’t want to spread misinformation because there are so many contradictory answers online. However, some brands have shared information that provides insight based on their logic. Juul claims that each Juul pod contains 200 puffs, which is equivalent to one pack of cigarettes or 20 cigarettes. In other words, 10 puffs equal one cigarette.

What Vape Juice Helps Coils Last Longer?

Several types of vape juice can help your coils last longer. Some people believe avoiding thick or viscous liquids will reduce gunk buildup on coils, but this is not true. Actually, it is the flavor additives that cause gunk buildup. You should avoid cinnamon, vanilla, and vape juice flavors with a lot of sweeteners.

Where to buy

Many retail outlets sell vape juice on the internet, but none comes close to West Coast Vape Supply (WCVS). The first thing that sets WCVS apart from other outlets is the wide range of brands available on their website. From Naked 100 E-juice to Cuttwood to Vape King to Vapetasia and many more, to mention a few, you get the chance to buy A-class vape juice on WCVS. Their customer service is also top-notch, and their shipping policy is one of the best you can get.
